Introduced in 1985, Canada’s Scientific Research and Experimental Devevelopment Program (“SR&ED”) is Canada’s most important source of government assistance for industrial R&D in Canada. However in recent years successive Conservative and Liberal governments have made the program more complex, less predictable and have found ways to reduce benefits.
In 1985 one of our founders – Rob Farrow – worked with the Canada Revenue Agency in Victoria. In 1988 he joined the fledgling SR&ED Tax Credit Group and has been involved with the program ever since.
